It is time for an another update on our line-up for the 2020/2021 season. Karolina Matkowska, who started her sports career in our club, is staying in Gorzów. In the past season, she would always train hard so in the new season this experience is to result in more minutes played in the Polish top league. Karolina was also an important part of the U-22 Women team. During the first league games, she scored the average of 9.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists. She also scored 6.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in the U-22 Women Polish Championships.

“Karolina, who started her sports career in our club, was born in Gorzów. She is a Polish representative in the U-20 national teams and a multiple medalist of the Polish Championships in the youth groups. Training hard this season, she fought for her minutes to play in the Polish top league. In professional sport, you have to fully commit and show your team spirit in order to win minutes on the court and Karolina knows all about this. We are glad that she is loyal and attached to the club's colors. It means that the coaching staff should bet on her, because she wants to fight for our club’s success. The experience that she gathered during the youth games will certainly pay off in the next season of the first team,” said coach Dariusz Maciejewski

“I am glad I got a chance to play in the Polish top league once again. I am optimistic about the upcoming season although it will not be easy. I hope there will be an opportunity for younger players to play. As for my part, I can assure that I will do my best and use every possible opportunity to help the team in achieving the goal set by the coach,” said Karolina Matkowska.
